Headlight Restoration FAQ
Do you come to me?
Yes, we travel all across Los Angeles, Orange County, Fullerton, Whittier, Anaheim, Yorba Linga, Buena Park, and surrounding areas! We’d clean the interior at your home, apartment, or work location. It makes life much easier for you.
How long does this service take?
It depends on the size and condition, but it typically takes 45 to 90 minutes to complete. If the condition is severe, it’ll take longer.
Can you restore any headlights?
Like many things, once the headlights get to a certain point, there is only so much we can do to restore them to a like-new condition. Your headlights can look better after we’re done, but there can also be permanent damage.
Why do my lens get ugly?
Your headlights, just like your paint, have a clear coat on them. As the suns beats on it week after week, the clear coat starts to deteriorate. Eventually what was the clear coat turns into an ugly yellow layer gunk.
Considering the heat that Los Angeles and Orange County produce, your headlights are exposed to maximum heat and if you park your car directly in the sun for most of the day, that’s only going to add to the damage. Because of the material of the headlights, the clear coat on them don’t last nearly as much as the clear coat on the paint.
How do I keep my headlights looking good?
It can be a bit tricky. Typical waxes and sealants will only protect your car for so long. If you park your car in the shade most of the time, then they’ll simply last longer than if you park outside in the sun most of the time.
You can apply a sealant or wax to your headlights every 3 to 5 weeks. This can take less than 15 minutes to do.
